The Greenwood Grincare team would like to thank everyone for playing their part in managing the latest COVID-19 outbreak. As Wellington moves back to Alert Level 2, we are delighted to announce that we can once again start providing comprehensive dental care. We will continue to follow the latest Ministry of Health guidelines to keep everyone safe.
Changing times and being prepared
As we’ve seen, with the development of the Delta strain of COVID-19, the situation in New Zealand is much more precarious than before. A sudden transition to Alert Levels 3 and 4 can be enacted at very short notice.
Our problem is that during Alert Level 3 and 4, the treatment we can provide is severely restricted. Initial treatment is with antibiotics and pain relief only. Patients with persistent, acute pain, swelling or an emergency can be seen, but only to relieve the immediate problem. Sometimes this process involves enduring several days of pain. We really do not want any of you to have to experience such suffering.
Completing planned treatment and keeping up your regular check-ups is the best way to prevent untimely problems in the future.
What to do if you have or need an appointment
We will be contacting our backlog of emergency patients, prioritising those in pain and with urgent treatment needs. However, if you are currently in pain, or have a problem that you are worried about, please ring us on 04 472 3510 from 9am on Tuesday 7th September. We will arrange to see you as soon as we can.
If you have incomplete treatment with cancellation of a previous appointment, we will be contacting you to reschedule.
If you have an existing appointment, this will go ahead as planned. We will also be telephoning to confirm these.
If you have work requirements that mean you need to be seen outside our normal 8am-5pm business hours, please let us know, we will try to make arrangements to accommodate you.
Our Ongoing Offer
We will continue to do everything we can to help you maintain your dental health, while New Zealand manages the COVID-19 pandemic. We are extending our hours, offering payment options and will not be charging any extra for PPE.
We thank you for your patience while we adapt and implement another round of protocols. We look forward to working with you all again soon!
