COVID-19 LEVEL 2: A Necessary Change in Direction

As of today, we unfortunately returned to our COVID-19 Alert Level 2 protocols. We are doing all we can to follow the country's leadership, the Ministry of Health guidelines, limit community spread and keep us all safe. 


The good news is that under Alert Level 2, we can still provide comprehensive care to keep you all dentally healthy. We just need to add back in a few extra precautions. If you are currently in pain, or have a problem that you are worried about, please contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange treatment.


What we are doing to keep you and our team safe


Here is a reminder of our protocols under COVID-19 Alert Level 2.

 

Pre-appointment questionnaire


When booking appointments, we will be screening all patients with the following questions. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, anytime between booking your appointment and arriving at the surgery, please contact us immediately.


­  - a cough

­  - a high temperature of at least 38°C

­  - shortness of breath

­  - sore throat

­   -sneezing and runny nose 

­  - temporary loss of smell.


Anyone who answers ‘no’ to all these questions can be treated normally. Anyone answering ‘yes’ will require extra precautions. If you answer ‘yes’, please contact us immediately and we will discuss treatment options.


Ongoing safety measures


We will continue to maintain our other precautions. These include:


  • The day before your appointment, we will text with a reminder to review any recent symptoms.
  • We have the New Zealand COVID Tracer QR Code in the lobby and on our front desk for your use.
  • We will be checking contact details on our files are up to date.
  • We will continue to provide alcohol-based hand sanitiser in all waiting areas and clinic rooms, use it freely!
  • We will continue regular cleaning of high touch surfaces with detergent and disinfectant.
  • We have stocks of all necessary PPE, and will be using different configurations depending on your risk level.
